More Than Just a Dark Window
Window tinting isn’t just cosmetic — it’s one of the most practical upgrades you can make to any vehicle. A quality tint blocks up to 99% of UV rays, reduces interior heat by up to 60%, cuts blinding glare on Long Island’s sun-soaked roads, and gives you privacy without sacrificing visibility.
Anyone who’s sat in a leather-seated car in a Locust Valley parking lot in July knows the problem. Your steering wheel is untouchable. Your seats are scorching. Your AC is working overtime just to bring the temperature down to bearable. Window tint solves that before you even start the engine.
Beyond comfort, tint protects your interior from UV fading — the same rays that damage your skin slowly destroy your dashboard, leather, and trim. And the finished look? A vehicle with professionally tinted windows simply looks better. Cleaner lines, a more cohesive appearance, and that subtle statement of someone who takes care of their ride.

Window Tinting FAQ
New York law allows any tint darkness on the rear windows and rear windshield. Front side windows (driver and passenger) must allow more than 70% of light through — which means very light tint or clear UV-blocking film only. We’ll walk you through the options so you get the look you want while staying compliant. Most customers go dark on the rear and keep the fronts legal with a ceramic UV-blocking film that still rejects heat without the dark appearance.
Dyed film looks great and adds privacy, but it’s primarily cosmetic. Ceramic film does everything dyed film does, plus it blocks significantly more heat (up to 60% infrared rejection), blocks 99% of UV rays, doesn’t interfere with your phone or GPS signal, and won’t fade or turn purple over the years. If you’re on a budget, dyed film is a solid choice. If you want the best performance and longevity, ceramic is worth every penny — especially on Long Island where summers are brutal.
Professional-grade dyed film typically lasts 5–7 years before it starts to show signs of aging. Ceramic film lasts 10+ years and maintains its clarity and performance throughout. The key is professional installation — cheap tint from a cheap installer bubbles, peels, and turns purple within a couple of years. We use quality film, proper installation techniques, and give you aftercare instructions to maximize lifespan. One appointment, years of comfort.
